I recently bought a 14 foot monark with a 4 1/2 bottom and put a 5hp go devil on it. It work but I want more. With 2 adults and gear I get 4 mph. Thinking about putting a 10hp and changing the prop. What's y'all eqperience with this and what would be y'all recommendations on props or anything.

8x4 prop. 14' x 52" or 14' x 48.5" ?

Its a 48" bottom. Just measured it. Guy I bought it from said it was 4 1/2 feet but that's the top.

So u think a 8x4 with a 10 hp would be worth it? Right now its a 5 hp with a 7x5 and will go through weeds and stuff but lugs out if I dobt pick the balde up.

If your frame can handle more hp get bigger. but at 10hp go with the 8x4 it will give you more power less lugging.

I'm not worried about the frame. I'm a welder so I can always beef it up. Just have to find a motor and a prop. Just have to find the funds lol. If I could find a used motor id like to put a 13 horse on it if I could.
