Finally got call back from KP. The kit will not work with the older PD's with the older mercruiser trim pumps. You have to have the new Bucher trim unit to make it work. So fuck me, but I'm still looking into the hydraulic selector valve to seperate the two.

What part of the new system won't work? The switches?

I hydraulic unit is a hydraulic unit. As long as it has a supply/return/and up and down switch it should work with any unit. Might have some different fittings you will have to change. I'd like to see a picture of the new set up

it may require custom hydraulic lines but i too dont see why it cant be done.

I would like to know what that Selector Switch is. Do I have to actually select what ram I want to use or is it an automatic function that changes with what switch you use. ImageUploadedByTapatalk 21373380329.262180.jpg

i think it automatic you shouldn't have to flip any kind of switch to go from one function to the other. It is probably a NC contact then once you hit the switch for which ever function it sends power to the NC contact to open to let the hydro fluid flow to trim up or to go into reverse
