Post subject:  PD prop ?

Ok guys I installed a new prop here a while back due to my old was worn down below 11 1/2". I put a stock pd prop on my stock pd 36. With the new prop I'm not running any faster and my rpm's dropped to 3600 wide ass open in water. I am only running about 23 with 2 people and medium size load... When I am at an idle I'm at 1200 RPMs ...why am I at such low RPMs at full speed?

Could b that the valves are leaking much worse now, u just didn't notice the loss n power due to the worn prop allowing u to turn more revs. Just went through this very same thing.

Check the governor screw and make sure it didn't creep down on you.

Wide open out of water is 4200-4300

Make sure your carb is opening all the way. Might not be getting true full throttle.
