 Prop from auger flighting?
As most of you know, Scavenger props are made from a section of auger flighting. Anybody tried making their own from an old section of flighting? How do the ones scavenger makes (or home made ones) perform in comparison to a regular 2 blade prop? I'm thinking of trying it out on a 6.5 hp long tail, but I'd like to get some input before I waste a bunch of time.

 Re: Prop from auger flighting?
and on performance dude got no clue i got a surface drive and i know all longtails are slow so dont worry bout tryin to make it fast. just buy a prop from the pros and let it go till next time. couple hundred bucks aint worth all that time in getting right just to not work as good.

 Re: Prop from auger flighting?
i have a scavenger the props take alot of abuse from stumps and rocks as well as gravel and they wear really slow however i want to try and put a regular mud motor prop on mine because the augurs are really inefficient if you have any ideas to that let me know!
