| Post subject: | PD Lower unit service??? |
This is my first PD. It is an older model 27hp. The manual states to remove both the upper and lower plugs to drain. It then states to fill from the bottom, until fluid begins to come out off top plug. My Question: Won't the oil come out of the bottom first? What type of tool is needed to fill the lower unit? Thanks |

You can fill it from the top. Turn the prop a few times so the air will work out and fill it like rear differential until it flows out and roll with it. |
