I don't know what it is and I'm not going to go change my gear oil to find out for you.

Call PD in the morning. A lot of times someone is there till noon or so on Saturdays. If not, give a call monday morning.

What did you do?

On the water? Is it stripped out, or you just didn't get it back in tight?

Is the top one not the same size? Take it to a hardware store and match it up.

Not sure on that one but some of those on the lower unit are NPT not reg sae or metric.

Have to find a good plumbing supply type store.

Napa carries some of that...

1/4" pipe thread, NPT (national pipe thread). Try to find it in stainless is possible, you'll thank me later.

Its an oil bath system so you'd have a better chance at cross threading than seizing, since the treads will more than likely be lubricated from the start.

A lot of folks also think that you shouldn't use stainless with aluminum ( 2 non ferrous metals ) Which is also true to an extent, but we are talking about the LU. So when people question my stainless plugs in cast aluminum. I usually reply with, Well what did the manufacturer make the prop seal nut out of? They usually reply with ummm. lol

All I can go by is my 2007 PD and my Top level plug is indeed 1/4" NPT. Bottom plug on mine is 1/8" NPT.
