 Broken Belt Again
Out riding Friday afternoon and broke another belt. Just replaced the belt about a month ago. Thursday evening i sealed the belt housing off with silicone because of the water getting in the belt housing. Anybody know why this is happening?

 Re: Broken Belt Again
Make sure you have the right belt on the right pulleys. There is several tooth profiles and they are not all interchangeable. These belts must be aligned and tensioned properly. Make sure something is not moving. If you center distance moves you can break these belts because the tooth climbs out of groove.

 Re: Broken Belt Again
the one that stripped wast the original belt. 250+ hours. the last belt that broke had 10 hours on it. im thinking it was to tight. Just thought it was weird how it ran fine until i sealed the belt housing off.. once i sealed it off the bitch broke!
