08 PD

Not sure what you call the actual part. Its the round cylindrical piece between the arms that the actuator shaft slips in and a bolt goes through the piece and the actuator shaft. I have the part coming . Do I have to remove the motor from the transom bracket to get the arms off before I can remove the pins and c clips before I can get this broken part out?

Kudos to PD customer service once again. Part coming at no charge! 8-)

Top roller, and yes you'll have to suspend the motor and remove the trim arms/bracket to replace it.

Maybe I'm thinking wrong, but I had the bolt that holds the actuator shaft break, and I replaced it without removing the engine.

Bolt is fine . The part the bolt goes through broke.

I understand that, but if I was able to remove the bolt, then you should be able to remove the piece that that bolt attaches to the shaft.

^^^ that's impressive. Did it happen on the water or trailer? I imagine it was worn pretty good.

Was running alot of stumps (always running stumps) sunday teal hunting. May have contributed but, It broke yanking the rig out of a muddy boat launch and it bounced in a big pot hole. BOOM

Water was about 6 inches deep and I could definately see if some one were to bust one in the shallows it would have been a bear to handle!

Shit, I dont remember how that pin works that holds that part in. If the forks have to be pushed outwards on each side to get it out, then yes you will have to suspend the motor.

For some reason I thought I remembered it being able to slide out one side, but now I think I'm wrong.

It is machined down on each end to go through the arms then the c clips pop on it. I reckon

That is the old style (small) roller they used when they first introduced the hydr trim. They have since upgraded to a larger one.
