Im not sure if this right place but its the closest one since it goes to lower unit. I have 36 pd on 1648 gdsd. I was wandering about my transom saver. I have modified mine (regular outboard one) a few times and cant get it right. it slides off, slides up, twist to side etc..... I have it strapped to trailer and lower unit and still no luck. so I was wandering if anybody has pics of theirs or any suggestions. thanks |

Turn the motor to the side, and trim it all the way up. |

I turn it to reverse and trim it so the cavitation plate hits the boat. |

I forgot to get back on here about transom saver. I did get it from corey at cotton mouth. easy install, adjust length & drill 2 holes done. it works great, very strong and nicely built. very easy to put on and off. very nice people to deal with, worth every penny. |

I saw them on his site. I ended up making one because i have prestons skeg and wasn't sure if it would work with it. The way mine is made, I can trim down and completely take the pressure off the trim ram and the motor doesn't move. Very good idea and does work. When I hit train tracks, motor doesn't move a lick. |

I have Bayouboys skeg and it works great. It is a damn good design and Corey is a awesome guy to deal with. The first pic is actually my motor. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I337 using Tapatalk |
