You bypass the switch to rule it out? |

Is it old style trim unit or new style? My old style the brushes went bad. So I put new style on it had no problems. |

I had the old set up with the relays and it always gave me problems. I installed the box on the tiller handle that does away with the relays and haven't had a problem since. Are you running a console or tiller handle? |

If it has relays.....shake them and the wires around a lil bit . Get somebody to hold the switch down when it isn't workin and wiggle each wire near the relays one at a time to find culprit. |

Make sure there are no broken wires, I had one break on the box above the starter and it did the same thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - |

Yeah tried it all guys no luck...the relays are engaging or at least making noise when I try and trim down but no action. Could it be over pressured because it was ran on the up position too long? Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk 2 |

swap the relays and see what happens. You can have one bad relay and it will still click but not go in one direction. If it is the relays look into the forward/ reverse solenoids and get rid of those relays. |

Pull the relays apart and grease the contacts with dielectric grease; then seal them together with silicon. |
