I replaced my 13hp Honda with a 23hp Vanguard on my homemade LT. I went out and was running a 9X5 prop and it just seems like theirs so much more potential for speed. Ive had a few buddies say 10X8 and a few say 11X10... Im sure most on here know much more than they do so im wondering what you guys think.

I got a 9x6 on mine. What brand prop? What speeds? What hull? What kind of load?

Its a hill marine prop. Im not sure on the speeds but I run it on a 16 ft flat bottom. The load was heavier than usual with 3 guys a dog and all our hunting gear. The difference between my old motor and the new one just wasnt as big as I thought it would be and my buddies mentioned replacing the prop for a bigger one.

Do you know rpm's. With that load I would probably be around 15mph in a 1542.

9x6 Godevil prop works best for me.

I am interested to get a Gd prop. A lot of people are saying there is not enough cup in these backh2o props

I ran a 9X7 GD prop on my 23 GDLT, but that was on a 1542 flat. I then switched to a Stumpjumper which lasted longer than the GD and then to a BBlades for even longer life.
