What kinda life do you guys get out I your props during the hunting season? Just curious. Put a new one on right before September teal, a backh20 prop, and here we are almost at the first split and I'm down to 8.5 from a 9X6 prop. Looks like ill be needing a new prop halfway through the season. I do run a lot of sand and sandy mud areas so I know that's why it's wearing so fast. Thought it would at least make the whole season though.

Sand is the prop killer. Not much you can do except live with it.

This was my stock PD prop after one year. Hopefully, since I am moving back to some real marsh, I will get a little more life out of a prop! Those rivers and lakes up in North MS were pretty hard on that prop. Probably about 90-100 hours??

I was shocked how fast sand eats 'em up. I got stuck in the refuge trying to get out after a hunt. There was only about 3" of mud over top of the hard sand. Not enough to get much of a bite so it was just grinding on top of the sand for about 20 or 30 minutes and there was a noticeable difference. (not much, but you can see the some of the cup is gone and just a bit of diameter).

I was surprised how little concrete and oyster shells matter though. I've crushed more oysters and concrete chunks and debris than I can keep track of and the prop always looked showroom new.

I took over a 1/2" off of mine in about 3 hrs. Also lost about 2-3 mph that scouting trip too! All hard sand and gravel!

I normally get 100+ ours out of a prop because I know when to get out and push.

These aren't airboats
