Post subject: | Big blade or Hammer ?? |
Got a 35 vanguard with 5 hours and mikuni carb. plan on getting heads done , gut stock exhaust and a Cam after a few more hours. Motors pushing a 1851 excel. Prop i got is worn to a lil under 12" and 150ish hours. Im wanting to go new. Big blade or Tiger?? |

Tiger props are for longtails I believe. Need to go back to the big blade I would think. Sent from my beeper. |

I have a hammer prop on a stage 2 GTR. I like the prop for longevity alone. Speed wise it is slower, hole shot, reverse, is a little better. Can't really tell if it carries a load better or not. Your motor is going to need some big nuts in order to swing it. I'd say cam and heads are a must. |

My brother turns the hammer fine and he has heads, carb, intake, muffler. The hammer is a litte slower on the top end but performs better in all other categories over the big blade. |

I have a hammer on a 55 mag and it's awesome in the mud. Boat still runs 30 with a load. Also motor was gear'd for the prop |
