Does anybody know how the new skeg design performs in lilies and mud? I'm suppose to have one on my 36hp motor but didn't and now they have one on stock for me so deciding if I should go get it

Try to PM Kmoppert. He has the g3 LU and upgraded his skeg. From what I hear, it's worth it and free so you can at least give it a try.

i still think Preston has the best skeg out so far, you can get on step in way shallower water with his skeg versus the prodrive skegs.

Havent run preston's skeg but I have a few hour on my new gen 3 and love it. drove though a bunch of lillies yesterday and it has like they weren't even there. Very happy with it.

This is what mine looks like. I haven't had any problems in the lillies or mud, but it does build up coontail grass in front of it pretty bad when im bowfishin20140313_161345.jpg

That's the same skeg I got too. Besides not dragging through the grass when ya pull the boat outta the yard what does cutting that little tail off do?
