For you guys that don't think a worn prop can affect performance think again.

Pictured below is 3 PD Props.

Black is new.
12.5" OD
3 7/8" widest point on Blade.

The one Worn to 11 7/8" OD and 3 1/2 on blade affected my top end by a couple MPH and some load carrying capacity. Still has some tip cup.

The one worn to 11 5/8" OD and 3 1/2" on blade sucked ass. Notice it lost most of the tip cup. I could barely get on plane with that one with 3 guys and our Bows and stands. When we went out we had 4 guys and gear. No issues getting up on plane and cruising at 26 MPH / 4600 RPM's. I wore this prop out un about 5 minutes trying to get out of a ditch.

Moral of the story is if you suspect you have performance / load carrying issues go get a new prop.

Yep. Changed my prop out yesterday. Was running 18-19 in deep water with me and my buddy. Running 25 with new prop (same load). Old prop was wore about 1/8 inch.

I know mine is worn from sand and I need a new one. My tips are worn pretty bad. I'll have to measure and see how bad it is. I was still running a solid 30 @4500ish with 3 guys and all our hunting crap. I'm sure a new prop would kick me up a bit.
I'll give you $100 for the black one if you pay the shipping.

How would a newbie go about measuring a prop? I have a pretty good idea but not completely sure.

Sorry, no 3 blade laying around to take picture of....but, I can just as easily tell you. Measure from tip of one blade to center of shaft, then multiply x's 2.

I noticed earlier in this thread the mention of blade cup. How do you measure the cup of the blade or is it just best guess visual.
