Post Converting short transom to talll on pd
Any of y'all ever done this? About to have a tall transom hull built and gonna have to order the parts from pd and convert my motor.. Didn't know if it was a pain in the ass or not

Few hundred in parts and a big ass welder is all you need. Its pretty easy.

I thought someone did this a while back. Contacted PD and had to get a different mid section and such.

Dont need a new tower. Just a spacer welded on the old one, a new teflon bushing, a spacer for the inside, and longer bolts for the lu.

Just did mine, Took maybe two hours. While you have it apart check how much play the pin in the tower block has in it. Basically the pin that goes through the tower, trim arms, and mounting bracket. I am pulling mine back apart to have it machined for a bushing. I want to say the parts were less that 200 but not exactly sure.
