I'll like to hear how the throttle install goes, kinda like the idea of the bps throttle over the gt

The GT handle is 1 inch OD. It will be tough to drill because the hole on the BPS throttle lever clamp is at an angle. And its stainless. I just installed one a week ago and it took about 15-20 minutes to open the hole up with a high speed drill and a carbide bur.

But its a night and day difference than the plastic lever. It doesn't need a stronger spring either. it actually has less friction ( better geometry) than the plastic one as well and easier to do a cable change.

How easy was that new throttle to install? I like the idea but want to make sure I can do it before I buy one.

iI broke a couple plastic throttle levers also, finally went to local bike shop and bought a spring loaded rear brake lever and cable assemblly for a Schwin bike. They cut cable and housing to length for me and installed lever cable barrel on cable. Works great and spring in lever always brings cable back to Idle. Lever has cable adjuster bilt into it to adjust for stretch. Used a barrel style cable clamp at carb linkage.
