I finished my motor build. I built a magnum 45 from pvt. That joker will move. My barge is a 17/54 gator Trax with a hunt deck. I am not small by any means and I always carry extra gas and a cooler. I have a worn out big blade and s new hammer prop. With the hammer prop I can run 27 @ 4300 rpm. I ran that with 3 adults, 2 small kids and 1 medium sized kid. My question is what would be a good fishing/riding prop? 3 blade, big blade custom or just change the lower gear and run the hammer? Without a doubt I am keeping the hammer for duck season when the loads get real heavy but I was wondering if there was a better riding prop for light loads and deep water.

Awesome to hear you got it together, I find the bb is best for light loads, but once that edge is lost it dies. I believe luna is getting like 33 with his hammer, now that's is wearing in. And that's a gt hide boat. I have been running the hammer in mine, and have noticed it's getting faster, but still handles load great

Is that with stock gearing? Mine started off as a 35 and I have not messed with the gears.

Fishing /riding should be 2 peeps, light gear and a cooler. That would be light to me.
