I've been running the 2 blade on a stock gen 3 for a while. If you are looking to gain speed the 2 blade won't help. Speedwise my 2 blade and 3 blade run the same EMPTY. The 2 blade beats the 3 blade in everything else though. It gets on top faster, its 10x better in mud, lilies, shallow, etc, I run faster with a load with it, overall my motor handles better with the 2 blade it doesn't slip and blow out as much when in thick stuff, taking off, turning and so on.

Baggy added some cup and pitch to my 3 blade and it is a much better prop now. Hardly any slip when hammering on it and it jumps on step instantly. Running about 28-29 mph at 4500-4600 rpm

Waking this thread up from the dead. What did anyone learn in 6 years? I’ve acquired my gen 3 efi back that I bought new and it still won’t step my big boat with a full load.
