Post subject:  35 stage 2 mod pully size

what size pullys are people running with a mudbuddy 35 stage 2 mods mikuni, boat doctor heads and a pvt cam. i currently have the stock 37,48 just wondering if any one changes them i can turn a hammer 4,600 rpms and would i benefit me to change them

The only reason you change gearing is to manipulate your rpm's. 4600 with the hammer is about perfect. Is that with your average load in the boat? If so, I'd say you're good. With a BB, you're probably close to 4850-4900, which again is about perfect.

This all assumes you don't have a CDI motor, limited at 4700.

yes i have the cdi motor i havnt tried it with a new bigblade yet im gonna test it out this week but i am pretty sure its gonna hit the rev limiter what all do i have to do to put the 5200 coils in and be safe (rods&pistons)?

If your turning the hammer 4600 on a motor limited at 4700, then you're good. Leave that prop on it and go.
