Running on a budget. I got a bad bearing on one end of my shaft of an 18. I've got the shaft housing off but haven't pulled the shaft out. Anyone know if I can find bearings that will work from a local parts store? |

Find a place that specializes in bearings and they should be able to find one. Or call copperhead and see how much they are. Sent from my beeper |

I was going to call me once I know which one is bad but I didn't know if anyone had some cheap source where they get equivalent bearings |

Yeah it is a 2012. I pumped it full of grease and it quieted down although if you spin it real slow you can feel a rough part. I may just ride it until grease doesn't help it. |

Not 100% sure how their designed, but if that bearing blows into a million pieces your shaft will likely go as well. |

Buying just the bearing probably won't cost any more than the seals and grease. I would suggest replacing it before it fails to save the shaft and potentially the housing. Fresh seals and grease while you're there.... |

Where can I get seals? I need them for my trailer. The only "seals" I can find are bearing buddies and I don't want those. I thought this would be an easy find but apparently not Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Bearing buddy's are not seals. Just a cover. Are you looking for the plain metal caps? I don't really understand why you'd want those over bearing buddies, as you'd have to knock the cap off and pack by hand every time your hub needed grease. The only real seal on most traditional style hubs is on the inside or backside of the hub (axle side). There isn't a seal on the spindle side, just the race, bearing, and crown nut on top of the bearing, then the cover, and most people would just use a bearing buddy or something similar there. |

Bearings and seals are too cheap to run bad ones. If you run bad bearings you will wear you shaft and have to replace a shaft too. Any parts house will have them. Change them all while your in there. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk |
