I was gonna try a big blade of my buddy's on my GTR and it was a little loose on the hex shaft. He also wanted to try my gatortail three blade but it wouldnt go on the hex shaft of his mud buddy. My question is is the loose big blade ok to run on a GTR? Just tighten the nut up and done worry or is there something I'm missing? Sent from denda this |

I actually ran one last weekend on my GTR. It ran better than my GTR 2 blade, I picked up 2 mph in a high Pearl River up current. Only mods I have are heads (.040" decked with Manley valves) and gutted exhaust. r/Wade |

I had bought a used gator tail and it came with an old big blade and I haven't had any problems at all. When I bought a new gatortail 2 blade I lost a few mph Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N900A using Tapatalk |

Thanks y'all so it doesn't matter at all that it doesn't fit really tight on the hex shaft with the nut loose ? Sent from denda this |

Once you tighten that nut, that lil bit of play will be gone. It won't hurt anything. |

That's not true that nut will relax some and u will feel the prop slack on the shaft after about 10 or 15 hours it's not much but I think it causes some more vibration I might be totally wrong on this but I could tighten mine up and it feel great and every 10 to 15 hours it would start getting a slight vibration and every time the nut had backed off a hair if it was me I would put it on and take some short feeler gages to take up the slack and then tighten the nut up I haven't tried it yet but I think it would only help |

Maybe even throw a lock washer in between the lock nut and flat washer. Im glad someone is having luck with the BB on a GT, I ran one on my boat and the worn GT always outran the BB! |

Put some Marine epoxy on the shaft and then put the prop on, tighten the nut and let it sit overnight. |

I got a used big blade for fairly cheap and it runs good. And seems to wear a lot better than a gt prop |
