Got a 2015 gtr stock minus exhaust, about due for a new prop, stick with the 3 blade or try something different? Thank you.

Gtr stock props are the best. 3 blade better for open water. 2 blade better for mud and grass. If you liked your 3 blade get another.

I went from a 3 blade to a mud buddy big blade and personally I haven't seen much difference in the 2 other than I lost 1mph on the top end and it reverses better than the 3 blade did. Like msm said if you like the 3 blade go with it.

We were stuck like chuck with a 3 blade on the new style lower unit and Brady eased on through the junk with a two blade them pulled us out. I would say two blade.

How many hours do you have on the 3 blade?

I like my big blade on my gtr. Its faster than my 10p 3 blade and the hole shot is a lot better

I asked bc i was thinking you may have had low hrs like me. I have less than 20,run very little sand and prop is already sucking when i have a heavy load. I originally thought it was my motor, but it runs fine with a light load. Pretty sure itsthe prop now. 10p 3

Leaking valves if your prop is in good condition but the performance gradually tapers off

x2 ^^^^ same issue I had with my boat. I thought it was my prop, ended up being the valves. They were leaking pretty bad. Boat ran normal with a light load as soon as I added another person she was a turd. I even went to a 10p and it helped but still wasn't like new. I would look into a leak down test!!!

How much leakage is too much? I've heard of people tapping on the valves with a rubber mallet and it sometimes cures the problem

Its gotta be an astronomical amount to be covered under warranty. Best thing to do is deck heads, and 1pc valves. Hit up boat dr or jamie b and they will get you setup straight. Paired with a mikuni carb and headwork, itll be like running a completely new motor. I could never drive/own another stock motor.

Just put it in the shop, they say it will be covered by briggs warranty. Thanks for the help and the advice. Had a mb 23mini for years, so I'm happy with the way it ran before this started... Atleast until warranty is up lol. I've got a 250merc on bass boat, so they all seem slow to me.
