Any one know why you can't use the old style gt prop on the new style out drive. The gt boys say that is a no no. Anybody have any insight.

Ive seen numerous people running old powertech blades on tge new LU. I wasnt aware it was an issue.

I was told that it was all two blades because they are worried that if it threw a blade the vibration would be worse than a 3 blade that threw a blade.

This seems kinda stupid considering the abundance of 2 blade mud motor props....they gotta know that we are gonna run 2 blade props...

A broken 3-blade will crack the lower just as quick as a 2-blade will.

I tend to agree although technically it should be a little less magnitude of vibrational force from a failed 3 blade.

I know now from running a 3 blade and a 2 blade that there are benefits to running the 2 blade and would be pretty dissapointed if I was forced to just run the 3 blade.
