So i put a brand new wheel on the motor and made a 10 mile run out to my camp (which is very close to BFE) with 4 guys and a bunch of crap in the boat, unloaded, and went for a ride by my self and my prop shaft sheared right at the last thread behind the jam nut as i was runnin. I swam around the bayou (about 2 feet deep) lookin for the prop for about 45 min... no luck. this ever happen to anyone before? and does anyone have a metal detector they could let me borrow?

I went today and tried the metal detector... apparently it picks up every oyster shell, and i pulled around a small oyster dredge for a while and still no prop :(
