Think about coming to the sparkleberry duck run. The day after a good bit of folks go down to the cooper river to play in the mud. It wouldnt be too far of a drive from GA.

GaWaterfowler puts on a poker run at Seminole usually around Sept. Good time and a cool after party. I would be down for a Ga. ride, I live 30 min., below Atlanta. West Point had some good mud all year, but they are letting the water back in the lake now. Me and GSU Rugger on here are planning some rides at West Pt., Oconee, Sinclair, and Clark's Hill after turkey season. Lets put some together.

poker run date hasn't been set yet, usu. Aug. or Sept. Sign up at Georgia waterfowler .com , they put it on. Another good outdoors site for georgia boys and floridiots :D is the outdoors place .net . there are 6 or 7 of us on there with mm's. Lets plan a sunday ride before turkey season.

Best thing to do is just set a date and time and see who shows up. Take lots of pictures and then next time, folks will know what to expect.

My wife has family in Columbus so anything from the Fla coast to Columbus area would work for me.

The Georgia Waterfowler run last year had around 20 boats. I think it was the 3rd annual.

I think only 5-6 boats were from the Tally/lake Seminole area. Most drove a couple hours south to attend.

Lake Miccosukee east of tally fun lake to run when it's low just be sure to not run on those bit grass mats you'll never get off. March 10th there's gonna be a mud run at lame Jessup next to Orlando which is a little hike but they have alot of bubbly mud down there. I've been waiting awhile to put my boat in some real mud.

You defffentely count me in on Seminole run on the 11th always a fun time. I took videos last year but lost the memory card but it was awesome.

As for west point never been but would be willing to go if we got a group to go.

If you drive another 40 minutes south, you have both Lake Jackson and Lake Miccosukee to choose from, which are free of stumps. Just shallow lakes with lilly pads and hydrilla. Probably would have more fun riding those lakes cause you could get brave and see how shallow you could get.[/quote]

Lake jackson and mic are alot of shallows and fun to run get to really push your rig.

Also united waterfolwers of Florida they have a run ever year but usually later. From what I e heard the Jessup is dropping and by the time they have their normal run they said the lake will be way too low so this is a early run to hit the mud before it gets too dry.

Best time to run seminole is in the summer when the lillies are thick and the water is down. We usually run into peacock lake, red lake, and any other cuts. There is some pretty fun stuff on the florida side across from fairchilds.

The Sparkleberry Duck Run is held in Sparkleberry Swamp on the north end of lake Marion. The landing it leaves from is called Packs Landing. I was told that last year there was in excess of 300+ boats according to DNR. The day after everyone with mm's head to the cooper river. The best landing is the one in Cypress Gardens. The run won't be this weekend. It should be the 2nd weekend in June

Might need to change this to the N Florida Mud Run.

Sure I could make either that Saturday or Sunday.

Got a couple buddies that live in Tallahassee with boats so I'm sure they would attend.

Might be able to draw some of the SW Georgia crowd down too.

Just need some definite date/time/location.
