 17/54 GT extreme Hull stock 35 Center Console Bought a 17/54 GT extreme hull with stock 35gtr, center consol steering with a 7 ft rod box and extended deck added. Very impressive boat, Thanks to Mr. Bubba Watkinsand the guys at GT for helping me get the boat. I have been running and playing with the boat since May to try and figure out optimal performance. Here are the numbers.
First time owner of a surface drive motor and i'm very impressed with it so far, love the instant reverse.

3550 rpms deepwater
27.4 mph
Never ran it in shallow water yet.

Re: 17/54 GT extreme Hull stock 35 Center Console Had a picture up, but for some reason it disappeared, but will get another one up shortly. I am guessing all engines are different so I guess the RPM's to speed ratio is correct on this boat, like I said, Its the first one I own.

Re: 17/54 GT extreme Hull stock 35 Center Console I was thinking your rpms were a little low when I first saw the post. But your speeds are good. Check your out of water rpms. I wouldn't worry bout it too much though, seems to be running good.
Just get some more stick time and play with your weight distribution and trim. It may run a mph or two faster and pick up a couple hundred rpms once you get it all figured out.

Re: 17/54 GT extreme Hull stock 35 Center Console WOW!!! That is awesome. I just got my rig a few weeks ago. Its an 1854 extreme, c/c, hunt deck, with the cdi motor. My speeds aren't nearly as good. 24.5 w/ 2 people and fishing gear. By myself it will get close to 27. What am i doing wrong is what I want to know. Congrats

Mines buddy Danny put the order on one just 'bout like that rite there fo his wifes birfday ..... should be ready anyday now ........ I'm probly just as excited 'bout them gittin' it as thay is !!!  Thiers is comin' with the HuntDeck transum ....... I'm almost positive thay gonna let me ride in it .. so I'll git to post some kind of review !!!!
