 1748/23 gdlt
MM Brand: Go-Devil Longtail Horsepower: 23 Boat Brand: Tim's Marine Custom Flat Boat Size: 1748 Boat Layout: open
Speeds | Shallow Water: n/a Speeds | Deep Water: 17-19 Total Boat Load With Gear Etc: Me 210, two batteries, trollin motor, and 6 gal of gas Conditions Tested In: very calm
Comments: Well the lake I hunt has a lot of stumps and it was taking a toll on my 1544 riveted Jon boat. So I decided to convert my old outboard rig that has been sitting up for a couple of years to a mm rig. I cleaned up the boat and stripped it down had a friend of my dads take the benches out, extend the deck, and cut down the transom. When I got it back I put steelflex on the bottom, repainted it, and put a new plywood floor in it. I was worried the size of the bigger boat was going to hurt the performance but it actually improved. The boat jumps on plain faster than the old hull and runs the same if not a little faster than the old hull. I was very pleased with the overall performance. I'll be able to test the load carrying ability with teal season coming up this weekend.
