Here's a tip for anyone that is interested! Weld the motor to the bracket! The two little brackets that are holding the motor on is not enough (not for me anyways)! Looked in the rearview mirror and it was leaning sideways! Picked up the motor barely and it just came off! Moral of the story weld the whole back part, not just the two little mounts it comes with!

UF-have you talked to Gil about this problem and if so are you the only one? I'm about to purchase one and I'm a little afraid after reading your post. Also how much does your boat weigh? Mine weighs about 130lbs and im just trying to get an idea of what my boats gona do. Thanks

From what I've read from others, I think this has been resolved! I also thought my seals had gone out which was not, but gil went ahead and replaced the seal and bushing that were both still good! Like others have stated, gil really is a great person to deal with and wish companies would learn how to take care of someone in the same manner he does!

Well the copperhead is on the back of the gheenoe...all i can say is wow...i have been doing research on these motors and debating for months whether they are that much better then Lt and guess what they are...best investment ive made so far highly recommend these...had me 165 and buddy 235 and was crusing 16-18...motor wasnt even properly trimmed at the time...good job Gil...
