 1854 3/16+ 1000# load 35 gtr
First real Lake O dry run and bass fishing day for my 1854 3/16" Uncle J. Had a great time on the lake. Caught a dozen bass and opened up some trails.
Boat was loaded 3 big boys, loaded ice cooler, 12 gallons of gas, 3 chairs. I estimate we had and extra 1000# on the boat. Running mostly WOT.
Boat was running 26 mph. Was surprised how little fuel we burned. Wanted a little more speed but that's not going to happen without sacrificing reliability and longevity .
Summary to date:
1. Single 29 touching 30 at times 2. 2 guys 27-28 3. 3 big guys loaded 26
Note for the Mud Buddy crowd running the shallow areas of Lake O. This Uncle J boat rigged with the 35 gtr trimmed correctly in 18" of water/sand/grass was absolutely amazing. I Trimmed out exposing the bottom half of the propeller and ran 26.5 loaded.

 Re: 1854 3/16+ 1000# load 35 gtr
I'm sure a 45 mag will kick my AZZ. No issues with Mud Buddy I think they make and excellent product.
My hull is a custom Uncle J that I personally designed. Set him the cad files and specs. Dual collaboration and engineering input from both parties. Yes I'm an engineer but mostly move dirt around with oversized Tonka toys.
Got this POS Vanguard dialed in 100%. Idles and runs awesome. This is what I did (Cost $ 220)
1. Decked heads 0.025 (Engine shop) 2. Ported and Valve job (Engine Shop) 3. Opened up factory carb. used reamer, drill, sand paper then polish. 4. Air idle mixture out 3.75 turns 5. Opened up air filter metal housing. Cut it out to allow direct flow. Not the 90. 6. Turned in the side screw to reach max RPM 7. Hollowed out factory muffler. Don't recommend this ( really no increase in this ) 8. Custom prop work. Miami propeller
Hope that helps !
