Re: 18x54 Uncle J Flats Boat
Great looking rig, like the decking on the back and the sides lined with boxes. How does she run?

Re: 18x54 Uncle J Flats Boat
Ran it today for the first time really, 10 gallons of gas, 2 people (165 and prob 180), ran 25-26. I noticed for the first hour my rpms were topping at about 3500, but around 2 or 3 hours of run time the rpms got up to 3700. Didn't see the speed when I was getting 3700. Thats deep water speeds.

I trimed it up all the way, I might try to move the pin up 1. It came in the middle. Heres a video from today, running a small ditch. http://imageshack.us/clip/my-videos/824/qai.mp4/

Re: 18x54 Uncle J Flats Boat
I raised the motor up to the top pin and was able to get my rpms up to 3800, but it didn't really seem to raise my speed. Of course this was deep water. Will try shallow next. Still though, 26mph aint bad with 12 gallons gas and 2 170'sh persons on board.

 18x54 Uncle J Flats Boat
It's wasted rpm!! Middle pin should be your best performer
