20x54 Aucoin 5/16" bottom plus 1/4" Teflon by Hoyt at Gatortail . twin fat black chicks with FPR onem both with one big stick.

Deap water:29
Shallow:32
Loaded with 20 gallons gas and me 230

bad thing is transom only lasted 45 minutes ....lol...just my luck.

Teflon is the best addon i have on my boat. I have t boned Tee post at 15 mph, jumped concrete, crossed sand, and only have a few minore cuts. If not for the teflon i would have been up a creek. Boat weighs in around 5oo-7oo lbs and i can beach it and still push off....dont ask Willit he dont count.....

Update:

The hull weighs in at about 650 bone dry. I have 3 bat, trolling motor, 120 qt ice cheast loaded with about 70 lb fish and 20 lb ice, wife (120) me (225) 2 kids (75) run box (50) 20 gal gass (150) gear (100) and i can run 26 all day. can run 20 at 3300 rpm and gets on step very EZ.

I can tell you that my old stage 1 did have more getup, and more top end, but i can rest assured that if i have my family with me we can get back to the ramp.....

This speed was in the river so i did not test it inthe shallows...wel i didn tlook the the GPS when we crosed the sand bars... :o

Pics to come later.

Can't wait to hear your results, James. Ought to run like a scalded dawg.......

I also would like to know how much width across the transom you needed to mount the motors. KP told me my boat wasn't wide enough.

Good luck!

Well i ran for 45 minutes until i heard a strang poping/ratteling sound. shut it down and noticed my transom has decided to remove itself from on side of the boat. Guess pretty boats just dont last!!!

ill get it fixed and drop the transom heighth back to 20 and get another speed report.

What do you mean drop the transom height back to 20"s? What is it at right now? Pro-Drive says to use a 19 1/2" transom for the tall transom motors...

Post subject:  Re: 2054 Aucoin TWIN BLACK CHICKS FPR

pretty sure mineis 20 from Aucoin, but you could get 19.5 if we measured strait down.....

but after i pu the 3//16 bottom and 1/4 teflon it made my transom taller by the same amout.

as far as warranty.....nothing wrong with the boat has been warranted!!! so im not even going to bother asking.

Well worth the 3500 i spend on a second motor and tiller setup. I can ride all day at 2800 rpm at 20 mph......i can tell you after i get the motor lined up just right and a new prop i will be up in 30-33....i have one motor 1/4 in off and it really showes at WFO. also had one motor running 4200 and theother 3850 at WFO due to prop and not exaclty lined out right.

It is very Ez to drive and alot nicer on the arm than i thought it would be.

It can be re welded and good to go. The only cracks are where the welds were ground down WAY to much and the small tack welds around it cound not hold the pressure.

Later.

My old boat was an 18/54 for those of you that want to know.

James it's good to see you finally gotnyour shit straight. I was real surprised how easy it was to drive when I got my dual rig on a tiller. It's actually easier than a single engine setup. He'll it was almost like having cruise control.
