Post subject:  Mikuni Carb/ Iron Mountain Head Work for a 36hp PD

I have had the Mikuni Carb and Iron Mountain Heads installed on a 36PD motor for a few weeks now, and just getting around to posting results.

My boat is a custom made 16x48 Lennis Blanchard boat all 1/8 throughout.

Deepwater speeds before mods were 27-28, now with the carb, headwork and marshmellow exhaust 30-31 mph.

I have been running for a few weeks and the throttle response and low end power are both awesome. made several runs with 2 other guys in the boat and plenty of gear with icechests loaded down. Loaded deepwater speeds were 29. I couldn't be happier. The carrying capacity after is much higher than before the mods. Its like having a whole new boat, and just alot more fun cruising.

The work was easy and worthwhile as I did it myself. I must give a shoutout and thanks to Poker1 for keeping me going as we both did the same mods at the same time. You all know his pics are A-1 and he does everything top notch. Thanks Ronnie.

All parts came from Keith at SETX Performance and the prices were worth going thru him.

My rpms with a fairly good prop are right at 4300-4350. I am bumping the rev limiter unintentionally very seldom, so I will soon have a stock prop with pitch added to it to bring the RPM's down a tad. I don't know what that will do to overall performance on the top and bottom end; so I will report back with that when done.
