I just bought this boat a couple of days ago and took it out on the river yesterday. I was very impressed with the way this boat handled. Runs 24 mph in deep water and was able to navigate about 1/4 mile of river that was about 10" deep (sandy w/ rocks) without missing a step. Easy to drive and was able to get to places I have been wanting to go for years, but haven't been able to w/ my outboard. I hit two rocks going about 15 mph that probably would have shattered my outboard into pieces and didn't even slow down the GDSD. Checked the lower unit/prop and not even a scratch. This thing is tough. If you're around SC and interested in Go Devil boats/motors, go talk with Robin at Blackwater Marine in Orangeburg, SC and he will take great care of you. |

Here are some pics of the rig. Next project is a good paint job. Anyone have any good tips? I'm sure there's been a thousand posts about painting boats so I'll do a search before I get into it. |

Good lookin rig, i have always enjoyed the way go-devil boats look with their poling platform. If i ever end up with one ill have to put a platform on it! |

The poling platforms are great because you can put a seat on it and scout, fish, etc. But last weekend it really proved it's worth riding down a tight river. If it weren't for the poling platform I probably would have torn something up on the engine with all the branches I was running through. That boat is tough as hell. |
