New GTR35 on my WE 848
Just returned from Gator Tail where the guys did a hell of a job installing my new GTR and upgrading my transom to accomidate the tall shaft. I am very satisfied that i went with this engine and made the transom taller...I just finished my first test trial and would have swamped myself a few times in reverse without the additions. Here is my first review, pics to come later:
Engine model: GTR 35 Boat: War Eagle 848 (18x48) Layout: Gun box, rear bench, live well, 18 gallon gas tank Passengers: had the girlfriend along for the ride (shes tiny) Conditions: Light chop, stiff wind, deep water Avg max speed: 25 Avg max rpms: 3500
Overall, I am very happy with this set up and think it will be more than adequate for my uses. The recent additions to the rig have increased the weight substantially so it looks like i will be adding a few mods b4 season but what a sweet set up. At one point we went back in my duck lease and found a couple mud flats. Dry docked her on some brush and the GF was freaking out..."aw this is phucking great, now were stuck, u motha phuckin"...i trimmed down a hare and hit the thottle. Shot right outta there...didn't even half to argue with her, she shut right the phuck up!
Thanks Gator tail, just wish i could use you to shut her up more often, hahahaha.
