Post Mud buddy hyper drive taking on water
I just bought a used but in what seemed / seems new condition the only problem was when I pulled it out of the water I still had it running and I just put it in gear for some reason I dont know why i did but I did and I had water running out of the main block of the engine and mostly out of the belt housing Im assuming that this is not normal. has any one else ever had this happen to them.

Belt housing isn't sealed correctly. Depending on year model, it should either have an o-ring type gasket (09& newer) or an RTV type sealant. Sounds like the clutch cover (upper portion of the belt housing) and possibly the outdrive need to be pulled & re-sealed. Also remember to put a good bead of rtv on the outdrive where the clutch cover overlaps it. This will need to be done no matter what year model it is.

Here's a link with detailed instructions for removal & install.
