Have been looking at rigs on here for quite a while and finally got me a shallow water rig. Have only 9 hrs so far, but I love it! Only took gps from tuck once and it topped out at 28 mph in deep water with 5-10 mph wind, with me 165 and 205 lb buddy 10 gal. gas and full cooler. Don't really have any deep mud I've found up here in N. TX just shallow water and plenty of stumps. Got her loaded out with super liner, camo, led bow lights, built in gas tank, spud poles w/mounts and the shaggy blind (not installed yet).

Looks good, I'm hopin you spent the extra $ & got .125 instead of the .100 for runnin in them mine fields yall got up there. One thing about those Excels, they sure are comfortable, can't nobody take that away from ya.

Very nice, glad you're happy with it. I'm curious where you bought at and what your experience with them was. Looks like it has places for spud poles am I seeing that right?

Very sharp, but also hope with spending that much you went ahead and got it in .125 gauge hull!

Thx for the congrats. @russellm454 yes it has an option for spud poles. The one in front is built into the hull. The mount in back is a piece of pipe welded to the hull. I bought it from John at Big Mac Marine in McAleaster, OK. He has been great to work with. Not some big dealership, just him. I did not get the .125 hull, might should have spent even more and got it. I have been running a .100 hull for almost 10 years here on a 1999 model Express duck boat and have never had any problems. I know the two lakes I hunt and fish here very well. . Of course, I don't drive like some dumb a$$ either . I know when I can open it up and when to chill. I am one of those who babies my expensive toys. That said, I better stop before I have to eat my words.haaha

My 1751 weighs around 700 without motor. They on the high side, but that's a cost for a comfortable ride

What he said above. My 1854 weighs 735 lb. A little heavier but it really is comfortable and great all around. Especially for my neck of the country. Have a lot of open big water and those tall sides are sure nice to have, but still allows me to get to those shallow areas to chase those ducks. Catfished 3 out of it the other night all sitting in a comfortable seat...not too shabby.

Just got my new rig in...I got the 5500. They're supposed to come from the factory with BPS exhaust. Correct? Mine has the stock stainless muffler.

No problem John. Working on installing that shaggy blind today. So far it is coming together nicely!!! Just need some RAIN now. They closed my convenient boat ramp down about a month ago.
