im looking at buying a 2008 excel slick bottom from a guy and was wondering your thoughts and opinions on this boat before i do anything. Whats different from 2008-2011. weight, or handleing anything would help. I plan on putting on my 35hp MB SD. I have exhaust, carb and head work done will this push this boat good enough. I know alot of people had problems with the midwest edition 1754 i believe. i dont know what the actual name for this hull is. Thanks guys |

Find out what the hull thickness is. If its only .100 don't get it IMO. You would be alot better off finding a thicker gauged hull that will hold up to a little abuse. Your motor will push a boat like that.. I would definetly see if you can put your motor on it, if you where going to buy yet. |
