Ordered my 16 Go Devil Crawfish Tail last week and it got here Monday. I put it on an Aluminacraft 1540. I had to rebuild a trailer I had to tow the boat. My original trailer was set up for a 12ft Flatbottom. The Tongue was way too short so I replaced it with an extra long Tongue to make launching the boat easier. I wound up with a 12 ft Tongue and it was worth the trouble.

I was amazed at how smooth the Motor ran and had a little trouble figuring out where exactly to hook up the Kill switch. I thought it was supposed to go to a ground instead of a Hot Wire.

First trip to the lake and the boat was hard to run sitting down. I ordered Handlebars at the same time I ordered the Motor but I have not seen the bars yet. Go devil said that these were shipped by UPS. UPS is behind by three days now.

With me 240 my wife (?), and my son 140 the boat was plenty fast and smooth. My boat although new had a hole in it so I was unable to fish. They missed a spot welding the drain plug in.

With just me, the boat did not perform very good. The Motor wanted to jump out of the water about the same time the boat did. The Boat stood up in front pretty bad.

Seems like the boat ran better heavy. Motor definitely had a preferred RPM that it liked to run and this was plenty fast for me. Glad I did not get the Longtail because it would have took half the lake to turn around, especially going left sitting down.

The Motor was heavy and awkward to handle without a lift and my Wife is no longer worried about someone grabbing it off the boat and running off with it.

Now if I can just get a Troll Motor mounted to suit me, I am in business.

I don't Hunt those stinking Ducks but I do like to ride the River and call Coyotes and Cats, so this boat is going to work well for me.

Bend the tab on the end of the cav. plate up until it stops popping out of the water, the rest of learning how to drive will come to you.
