We just mounted a 10hp Copperhead on a 12 ft Arther Armstrong sneak boat for a customer and test ran it. Please note, this is a fiberglass boat so we did reinforce the transom with aluminum and extra support to run this motor. Boat ran 19.6 mph upstream and 22 mph downstream, all deep water, no wind. One man, battery and basic safety gear. This boat is an MV at the rear, so we had to move weight forward to get it to set down on plane without excessive bow rise coming out of the hole. With two men, one all the way forward, the boat set down quicker and ran 16.9 upstream and 19.8 down stream. Boat handled well, did want to slide a bit in hard turns. Overall it ran very with the copperhead and will make a nice one-two man rig. PW |

They still amaze me that these little motor pack that much power and can move these smaller boats so well with decent load. PW |

Hey MudDoctor, What Arthur Armstrong did you mount it on? I have a AA Widgeon I was thinking about selling judt due to lack of use. Do you have any pics of how you re-inforced the transom? Good numbers for these motors! Lookinup |

i had sent him a e-mail from my personal account right after the 12hp came out and he said they were workin on one and the speeds were down just a hair but digging in was about the same. He said there was still a little tweekin to be done. I would think it would be tuned by now enough to get ya from point A to B just might be as fast as a big blade |

Paul. I spoke with you a while back. Could you post a photo of the AA and how you modified the transom? Thanks in advance. Mark |
