The boat is a 1548 alweld tunnell and has pods. I have a 40 horse tiller and want to get a motor legal for the refuges, would prefer a surface drive mm,or should I just try and sell and get a different rig. Thanx for any input.

It would as equivalent as putting a chandelier in a haunted house.....

About as useless as a screen door on a submarine

The boat sits that low in the back that it needs that much floatation

You could put a surface drive engine on it but you might have trouble
getting out of some sticky stuff

I bought the rig rigged out that way but no it doesn't sit that low but they seem to help and are a great step to get in the boat lol

Looks like you will not have a full turning radius with the tail of the SD hitting the inside of the pods.
If thats the case "My opinion....Thumbs Down". Duckdon
