MM Brand: Pro Drive Horsepower: 36 with a Stage 1 Boat Brand: Pro Drive X-Series Boat Size: 17x48 Boat Layout: extended front deck, moveable gun box, and rear storage seat Speeds | Shallow Water: 28.9mph Speeds | Deep Water: 27mph Total Boat Load With Gear Etc: Me, my buddy, 12 gallons of gas, 48qt ice chest, generator, trolling motor, and bowfishing lights (750-800lbs) Conditions Tested In: calm Comments: I have been reading this site for a while and finally decided to post. I got this boat last year from pro drive and was happy with the stock motor until I got into bowfishing. The boat would push the load above ok with the stock setup but it seemed like it took forever to get out of the water. After reading this site for a while I decided to give Calens Engine Service a call. After talking to Calen I decided to bring my boat down the there and let him put a Stage 1 on my motor. I picked the boat up monday and could not be happier with the way this thing runs (before I was getting 27mph with just me and 6 gallons of gas and I could bump 20 mph with the load above but it would take me forever to get there). Now this thing jumps up on the water no matter what I have in it. Also I would like to give a big thanks to Calen for helping me out. When I got down there monday we took the boat for a test drive ( it ran a steady 31mph with me, Calen, and 6 gallons of gas) and when we pulled it out the water I noticed milky oil all over my lower unit. Turns out the seal behind my prop was bad. Calen went out of his way to find me a new seal, flush out my lower unit, and install the new seal. I cant talk good enough about him and his service. He will recieve all of my business in the future. Thanks again Calen ( I know these pics arent that good but there all I have of the boat right now) |
