How should I got about preparing my boat for painting about what kind of sand paper should I use and what's.the cheapest primer that I could use for a aluminium boat?

It have paint on it already? I just washed mine good and let it dry. Then wiped it with acetone and painted. Shot it with kem400 and no primer.

It has paint here and there but what kind of primer should I use for aluminum?

palm sander with 80 to 100 grit sandpaper. good wash with acetone works ok too. any kind of aluminum primer should work fine.

traditionally "zinc chromate " was the best! been hearing a lot of good things about the duralux primers but haven't used it. GatorGlide has a primer for the bottom but I haven't used it neither it sticks unbelievable by itself.
