Just a lil review of my new rig. 17/54 extreme 35 GTR, pointed bow, hydro turf, 9 gallon tank, remove able gun box, reverse plate. All speeds where in 5 foot or more water depth. With just me #180, gun box with spud poles inside guessing #30 or so 3 life vest and a small tool kit say #10 pounds gas tank full under front deck batt and k2 cooler full of cream soda. In gear idled at 900 to 920 RPM's that's in the water. WOT RPM's where 3690 to 3850 depending on where it was trimmed. Speed checked with hand held garmin GPS and I was holding steady at 29 mph the boat wanted to go faster but couldn't keep the front end from bouncing but will hold at 29 mph with no problem. Added 2 more people my son #130 my son n law #160 and it ran a steady 27 mph bumping 28 from time to time and 6740 RPM's. Tried moving load all around to see what worked best and moving thing/people side to side didn't make much difference but moving most of the weight to the back of the boat worked the best. Had a lot of tiller torque and tried bending the top tap just below the prop must of bent it 10 different ways and never helped almost had it at 90 degrees at one point so I bent it back at about a 45 how it was when I picked it up from GT and bent the bottom tab no more than a quarter inch and no more tiller torque. I am very happy with my set up so far never expected the speeds I got seems the sweet spot for me is at 3250 RPM's holding a steady 25 mph it's smooth as silk there. I was really shocked it carried all 3 of us 27 mph. Sorry it such a long review but may help someone with there decision on a new rig the way everyone helped me make mine. |

Forgot to add I it has a MM x double barrel exhaust don't know if it helped or not cause I never ran the stock exhaust and I like the way it sounds nice deep tone and not as loud as I figured it would be. |

Camo guess I'm missing your point and to lazy to go look at mine right now to see the difference but it the style of grip that I don't like throttle feels fine |

The reason the grip is bothering you has a lot more to do with the hard plastic corner of the throttle digging into the ball of your hand. After short run, your hand is almost cramping up. |

The reason the grip and throttle is doing that to ur hand is bc of the vibration and tiller torq Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Never bothered the plan of my hand just between thumb and pointer finger those lil fins on the grip are hard as hell and kinda sharp they just dig into your hand some elect tape keeps them from digging into you my ole man has some old foam type grips off his Harley might try and see if I can make them fit |

Thanks pintail for posting my pics. You can see I moved my battery bow under the hunt deck first I cut a piece of half Inch ply wood same size as batt box screwed it down slid battery box in there and the lid to box would not fit so I cut 1 inch off the lip of the lid and it cleared enough to go back on I think it looks good and opened the floor up |
