Mud motor brand- gator tail Mud motor hp - 35 bone stock with less than 5 hrs Boat brand- '73 general marine Boat size- 1552 with hunt deck Boat layout- open floor plan with 10" catwalks Deep water speed- 10-12'. 26mph Shallower water speed- bumped 28mph a few times Load- me 190lbs, a small icechest and 6 gallons of fuel Overall, very impressed with the motor. Its gettin about the same speed as my outboard I had and goes good. I will need to eventually get a new hull and see some gains from that. No problems at all with the motor, I adjust the tourque tab and it hardly pulls now. After I 'season' the heads I plan om putting cam and exhaust, maybe some head work. |

Update! Took it out today again with same load plus 240lbs 'my cousin'. The 35 can handle a load without a doubt. My top speed went from 26-23 with the two of us. That was deep water in about 2' it was 25. So without a doubt I am very pleased withit. |

My 1840 with the 25 runs 27 deep water 29 in the shallows...put some more weight up front and see if you can get it to run "flater" you should gain up to 3 mph with that motor and small boat balanced out right. sent from the former Republic of Texas. |
