Took my dual to NE last week with a brand new hard blind with all the bells and whistles. We were hunting four guys with three dogs in the blind and all the goodies, heaters, stove, tons of gear etc. Deep water 24.6 fully loaded, shallows and out of wind and current 27.3 mph. Auto reverse on this console rig was the chits, one in forward, one in reverse and bumping back and forth made picking and setting deks a breeze. The blind worked great, it was warm (we had 14 degrees and 20-30 mph winds two days) and the bird dropped right in to the deks, they could not see anything, no movement, no flaring ducks, we smacked um at 5 yards. The pics are from before we grassed it up, it was a shame to cover the camo paint, but grassed up the boat just disappeared in the marsh. Very happy with how this rig ran and hunted.

Yea we did, but I did not want to take the good camara out in weather that cold, so all I got was on my phone and they are not the best. I will get some pics of it grassed out, but we are in a blizzard up here right now, need to get it out in the light to get good pics.

The rig hunting great, wide open to see driving, plenty of room, closed up the duck could not see anything. The flip lids roll over as you stand to shoot or you can shoot right out the slot. The whole cage top sets up with one simple brace that is adjustable so you can make the opening as narrow and low or as wide and high as you want. The back step was the best, it made getting in and out easy. Dog ramp and door and the access door on the other side (not in the pics) made fueling every night easy, just open the doors and fill the tanks. Shelves had plenty of room for all guns, cases, shells, food etc and kept everything up and dry. We hunting off buck and bird seats that would store under the lower shelf out of the way when running and setting blocks. Decoy storage is in the nose under the flaps and in slotted bags we stacked on the gun box for the run out each day. The blind is piped for stove and two-three heaters off a 20lb tank. This one really turned out nice. Thanks for the comments.

Hunting was good, we hit it just right, wind and cold last 4 days. We had a total of 19 guys on this trip, I took three with me. I was able to take my 13 year old son this year for the first time (straight A's got him out of school for the week). He shot his first drake pintail and first double on mallards by himself. He had a great time and it will be a week I will always hold close in my heart. He really became a man, pulled his weight and was a real team member this trip. He was my dog handler all week and worked the dogs perfectly. I am very proud of him, a week long trip up early and in bed late everyday is alot for a 13 year old, but he never complained and did his full share all week while still managing to get most of his make-up homework done. He got to see the start of the push from the Dakotas and bunches of decoying birds that really worked nice. It was a treat. We shot 64 ducks and one goose the last four days, miss more then a few as well. We are froze up here now and the snow just keeps falling tonight. Working late trying to get a couple rigs camoed to go to SC this weekend.

Light load around 31 mph but with four guys, three dogs, full gear and deks it still runs a consistant 26-27, 24-25 fighting current and wind.

Hey PW,

If you were to take off the blind, what speeds do you think you could get out of her? How much dose the blind weigh? And a total weight of men, dogs and everything else? Also how far was the morning run to hunt and how much gas will the dual's burn? Looking to put duals on one of your 2072 for bowfishing. If you and susan want to put up with me again. Just to let you know The Fish Stick is put away and had a great year fishing, except for a pipe I hit and poked a 1.5 inch hole in her so now she has a odd colored bandaid on her the only bad spot on the nice paint job you did.

33-34mph with the blind off, averages 28ish. The blind weights about 275lbs. We had four guys, 200, 290,190,190 and three dogs totaling 155. We had five doz deks, 12 goose blocks, 20lb propane, battery packs, all the gear you can think of, probable at least 300lb in total gear. Easy on gas, we ran about three-four mile to our spot each day, WOT and we only used about 2 -2.5 each day, if we had throttled back a bit to cursing speed arouond 20mph I think we would have used even less. One day we ran about 48 miles per GPS scouting and we used about 6.5-7 gallons total. Loren, you are a great guy to work with, sorry to hear about the hole in your old boat, but thats can happen with a thin hull in the shallows.

We would love to work with you on another rig. It was alot of work restoring that old girl, but it was fun and she turned out pretty nice.

Good to hear from you.

PW, that is really nice.

I've seen the blinds Paul is building and they are 100% first rate. Sitting in it is believing, it would be warm, dry, shirtsleeve duck whacking in any weather with these rigs. I would really like to have one.

Very nice. If I was made of money I would have one Phowler rig with hard blind and one without.

They are easy to remove. This 2060 with the Total Concealment Extreme Blind System is the Cadillac of blinds, it is really nice, functions so easy it blows people away and hunts beyond anyones expectations. It is not for everyone, thats why we have spent all last year and this winter designing and test three additional blind designs to offer. I think the 2N'1 will fill the bill for guys wanting low profile layout and pop-up option in one removable blind, the Light Marsh blind (that we used all last season and had two Pro-Staff running as well) is a great light and affordable hard blind and the new SuperFly pop-up will offer a better, heavy duty pop-up option. I think we are finally where we want to be in being able to offer options to fit individual needs and wants with our boat and blind offerings.

Thanks for the comments guys. I think the "Black Beauty" Demo is sold, so now I get to make another new demo for myself
