Comments: First time poster long time browser, wanna thank this forum for helping make my boat decision. I couldn't ask for a better boat buying experience, called Gator-tail told them what I wanted, five weeks later its sitting under my carport! The boat turns on a dime and doesn't skip a beat on the flats. I broke it in right the first fish I caught out of it was a 20lb redfish in about a foot of water!

I see a hole at the top of the poling platform. I assume that is for the railing. How does that work? Mine has two pipes like that, one on each side.

I've been thinking of a way to hing down the rail instead of having to take it out everytime. Were there any new options related to this? If not, and I see one in the near future, I call dibs on it, "patent pending" or whatever I need to say. :D

Very nice boat. If this is your first mud boat I would say you've nailed it the first time and saved yourself some of the trial and error process many of us have gone through. I am on my fifth boat and have settled upon an 1852 and an open floor plan. You got there on your first try.

I also like the camo job. The background color, under the grass pattern, and the way it varies. I think it looks quite realistic. Should work well hunting in the weeds.

Congratulations.

This is my second mud boat but my first one was a longtail, now im furking with the panites off!!! Like I said I spent many hours reading up on these rigs and this is what I wanted. Some guys say buy a rig for what you 90% of the time, I redfish a lot during the summer and duck hunt everyday I can during the winter. This rig is a 100% of both!!
