Well, As some of you know, I completely remodeled my airboat. *Had My Prop Refurbished *Redone my Cage *Added a Rub Rail on hull *Got a Custom Paint Job *Brought it to a Rotax Guro that really knows his Sh!t. (tune up) Well, Now it is one BAD MOFO !!! I went out frogging with it on Monday Night. (not going to brag about frogs. Water Extremely too high) My boat is only 11.5', and i had me and another guy. Extra Battery, 12 gallon tank, and additional 6 gallon. We ran everywere, and it was Awesome. Couldnt be more impressed with the performance. Top Speed with the load (deepwater) : 34mph Top Speed with the load (shallow/grass) : 38mph Top Speed on Limestone (Berwich Boat Launch) : 26mph PS. I wish I had Tenpoints boat. My boat has 100hp, and his has 200; and his boat isnt much bigger. Thats All, Uncle J |

Can I join the airboat party.... this was with the Briggs.... switching to Generac now... Used to run 35mph with me and 12 gallons of fuel.... Thats not too much slower than me in deep water. I can run about 45 with two peeps. Shallow (like 1 or 2 inches) its kinda scary in a 12 foot boat. It feels like it will get airborn. I need to GPS it shallow. |

Where I run I would tear up a glass boat in a blink of an eye... oysters and shale do a number on my poly... i could only imagine how much they scar up a glass boat... do both of you run poly? |

it ain't too bad on maintenance if u don't buy sumbody's junk. try to check the boat out as best u can before u buy if it's a used boat. anything can and will break, but the less u set yourself up for failure, the better off u'll be. one more thing, if ur the type that worries about money, than a airboat probly ain't for u. lol |

tenpoint, angle valve 0360 with carb = 190hp. gots to have the injection to get the 200. but you gets much better mileage with the carb. |

I wouldn't fuss about 10 HP on a 200HP engine either.... you probably only use about 150-170 of it anyway... 190 is on a good rebuilt motor with very few hrs on it. |

I just got back from Houston... I am awaiting SHADOW to arrive. I got my camp all fixed up for him.. Got Shore power and Water hooked up.. Even fixed the toilet. Waters too high for frogs. I'm waiting on the oil to come this way so that it will kill some of the grass. |
