Post Motor too big?
ok im a newbie when it comes to mud motors. don't even have one yet, but im in the market. i found a 20 hp go devil for what seems to be a pretty good deal. local guy selling for 1000. I have a 14 ft modified v riveted aluminum boat. is this too much motor for my boat? what issues am i going to have? im not sure how wide it is, i'll have to check when i get off work. its either 38 or 48 i think.

Deffinately not too big! You probably won't have any issues but May want to consider pods. Make sure the boat has a 16" transom cause that GD is for a short transom boat.

Yeah, I run a 27 on a 1444... gets me plenty of places but I would like to add pods when I can find them cheap enough...
