I dont know much about those motors.. If its a Godevil, it should have a serial number under the U-joint on the frame plate. I know on mine its REALLY dirty and takes a couple minutes with rags to even start seeing something etched in that plate. Do you have any pictures or it kicking around? If you get that number off the metal plate you can call godevil and they can tell you the year make and model of your motor. anywho. hope this helps. :)

From what I understand godevil made 3 blade props but that was a long time ago. I would guess that 2 blade props are probably going to be your best bet. Check the width of the props and go with whichever one is larger. OR, just run it with the prop thats on it and if you dont like the performance your getting swap them out. its a 10hp motor right? is your 1436 rivited or welded? and how much weight will you be carrying? how is the bottom of the boat? any dents or hooks in the hull? Just a ball park idea of the speed you should be getting is probably between 10-12ish..?? give or take a little. I would suggest putting on a Tiny Tach if it doesnt already have one so you can see where your RPM's are sitting. Anywho. hope this helps. :) enjoy your new addiction.

It just depends on which prop will get more bite in the water. if it spins to fast it probably means its to small of diameter and your not going to get very much speed. if it spins to slow it means you have to big of a prop. Plus the pitch of the props will throw in another variable. I'm afraid its just going to be a trial and error type of thing now..
